Have you noticed the mushroom craze sweeping the country?
Be it for
edible delicacies, bio-remediation, permaculture design or medicine,
mushrooms
are gaining widespread attention. Learn the stages of growth and methods
of cultivation. Mushroom cultivation is fascinating and becoming a growing
trend. Certain varieties can be grown in gardens and compost piles or
even on coffee grounds or indoors in apartments.
We will be making shiitake mushroom logs and working with wine cap for a wood-chip bed and possibly almond agaricus for a compost bed if time allows.
This is a 4 hr hands on workshop. Learn what you need to know for your own
mushroom projects whatever they are.
Leave with the understanding and know how of mushroom cultivation AND your own shiitake log and possibly a few surprises! Logs or cultures may be
used to fruit mushrooms at home for consumption.
